Teachers should Walk with Time: Says Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom in Sadgamaya '24
Teachers should walk with the time and be updated according to the needs of the era, said Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom, the Patron, of Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of Mananthavady on the occasion of Sadgmaya 2024 on 11 May, Saturday held at Pastoral Centre, Dwaraka.
"Teachers should update themselves with time and they should develop their skills. It was an extraordinary achievement they made in terms of video editing, managing social media, etc. during the COVID era. Although they were hesitant to move with the speed of time initially, later, the teachers realized the need and gained proficiency by starting online classes. The teaching community was renewing itself there. Similarly, teachers should be able to find and use the necessary conditions to nurture their abilities by nurturing the opportunity," said the Bishop.
Sadgamaya is the annual get-together organized every year for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the aided schools under the Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of Mananthavady. The formal meeting started at 10 am and there was a motivational speech given by Fr. Sijo Elamkunnpuzha, the Corporate Manager on the Teaching Strategies and Techniques. The formal inauguration function started at 11 am with the welcome dance of the students of St. Rosellos Special School, Poomala. Mar Alex Tharamangalam, the Auxiliary Bishop, Diocese of Mannathavady delivered the Presidential Address and Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom inaugurated the function.
