Teachers Should be Extraordinary: Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom at 'Sadgamaya 2025'

Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom, Patron of the Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of Mananthavady, emphasised that teachers should always be extraordinary. He made this statement on the occasion of Sadgamaya 2025, held on 10 May, Saturday, at the Pastoral Centre, Dwaraka. The bishop also stressed that both students and teachers need to have a good understanding of financial management to enable the future generation to achieve a better life.

Sadgamaya is an annual gathering for the teaching and non-teaching staff of aided schools under the Corporate Educational Agency, Diocese of Mananthavady. The event began with a motivational speech by Fr. Sijo Elamkunnpuzha, Corporate Manager, who appreciated the school's significant achievements in the SSLC Examination.

During the formal inauguration ceremony, Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom inaugurated the event, and Bishop Mar Alex Tharamangalam, Auxiliary Bishop, delivered the presidential address. The Corporate Educational Agency honoured 27 teachers and 5 non-teaching staff who retired in March 2024 and awarded students who excelled in the Moral Science Examination organised by KCBC.

Mr. Sajin Jose, President of the Teachers Guild, Diocese of Mananthavady, and Mr. Binoy K L, representative from the non teaching community, felicitated the gathering. Mr. Stanely Jacob, representing the retirees, delivered a reply speech, and Mr. Jose P. M., Headmaster of St. Joseph's UP School, Kallody, proposed a vote of thanks.
