Foundation Stone Laid for New Building at St. Catherine’s High School, Payyampally

On November 24, 2025, Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedom laid the foundation stone for the new school building at St. Catherine’s High School in Payyampally. The event marks a significant milestone in the institution’s history, underscoring its commitment to expanding educational opportunities in the region .

The ceremony was presided over by Fr. Sijo Elamkunnapuzha, Corporate Manager, Diocese of Mananthavady. The school heanaster Mr. Philip Joseph,  teachers, students and a host of local dignitaries, all gathered to witness the symbolic start of the construction.

Bishop Porunnedom blessed the occasion, thanking everyone who contributed to the project and expressing confidence that the new structure will provide state‑of‑the‑art facilities and a conducive learning environment for the students. He also urged that our vision must always be futuristic and that our construction should be envisioned beyond half a century promising a brighter future.
